Fitness Stations
A fitness station is a fun way for students to engage in physical activity. A fitness station is an exercise circuit in which strength exercises are combined with endurance or aerobic exercises. Circuit courses provide a unique opportunity to improve various fitness components at the same time. Circuits can be set up as stations around the gym, an outdoor field, a playground, or any spacious area. Most importantly, station activities give students freedom, autonomy, choice and independent practice time which is super motivating for students and will also transfer to time spent being active outside of PE class. The idea is for the class to rotate in different stations after practicing a skill or activity required in that station over a set period of time.
